COVID-19 Vaccine

The first COVID-19 vaccine in the United States was given to a New York Nurse, among many others this past weekend. Millions of vials of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine are being distributed, with 150 hospitals expected to receive doses today.

Who will get the vaccine?

-Since the vaccine will be limited, states are putting plans in place to make sure those who need it the most, can get it as quickly as possible. Many believe that healthcare workers and those living in long-term residential care should be at the top of the priority list.

Will enough Americans take the vaccine?

-Experts state that at least 60-70% of Americans need to take the vaccine for it to pay off.

Can people with allergies take the vaccine?

-Anyone who has had a previous allergic reaction to any medicine or vaccine should not take the vaccine. This means, anyone who carries an adrenaline pen.
